1. Who is Clever Internet?
Clever Internet is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Signetique IT, part of the Signetique network of worldwide hosting companies with presence in the New Zealand, Australia, USA, Malaysia, India and Singapore.

2. How many years have you been in business?
Established in 1995, we are one of the most experienced web hosting companies in the world with thousands of customers worldwide.

3. How are you able to provide web hosting at such low prices?
By providing purely email support and by using a highly efficient and automated way of managing our business process, we are able to cut down on our operation costs. We are passing that savings to our clients, as reflected in our low pricing.

4.How responsive is your technical support?
As we operate on a 24/7 basis, your email queries will be attended to very promptly.

5. What payment mode do you accept?
Presently, we only accept payment by Through Visa or MasterCard.

6. Who is your credit card payment processor?
We are presently using WorldPay as our payment gateway provider. They are owned by The Royal Bank of Scotland Group - the 5th largest banking group in the world. With 128-bit SSL encryption, your credit card details remain secure when you transact online with us.

7. Do you provide an invoice for our record?
Yes, we will provide a soft-copy invoice for you via email. You will see "WP-Signetique" in your credit card statement when you make an order with us.

8. What is your technology architecture like? Where are your servers located?
Our network of servers is linked via on multiple and redundant OC48 to AT&T, AboveNet, Global Crossing, Sprint & Time Warner. We use Top-of-the-line Pentium and dual XEON servers with RAID mirroring. Our servers are located in Malaysia (Cyberjaya), Singapore and Texas, USA.

9. What platforms do you support?
We maintain Linux servers (Debian 3.0), using Apache for HTTP delivery and Qmail for MTA and Windows servers with IIS and support for Frontpage extensions.

10. How do I get my domain name?
With every Clever Internet account, we include a domain name of your choice (subject to availability – and applicable only to NEW top-level domains ending in .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us and .name) FREE.

11. I already have a domain name, how do I host it with you?
After you have signed up with us, contact your present domain name registrar and change the name servers of your domain name to:
NS1.NETDNS.NET
NS2.NETDNS.NET


12. I have an existing .com domain, can you cover the cost of this domain under your plans?

Yes. On condition that the following conditions are met:

a. The domain name must end is ".com", ".net", ".org", ".info", or ".biz". Domain names ending in ".my" are not eligible.

b. That you must change the domain registrar to ours. We will not be able to renew nor pay for the domain name on your behalf if you decide to keep it with your present registrar.

c. That you transfer the domain registrar to us at least 15 days BEFORE the expiry date of your present domain name. If you have less than 15 days to the expiry of your domain name, we will advice that you renew your domain name with your present registrar and transfer the domain name to us the following year.

d. Once we have initiated the transfer of registrar, your present registrar will send you and email to the administrative contact's email address (that's probably you, unless someone else registered the domain name on your behalf) to confirm that you had indeed authorise the transfer to another domain registrar. Please reply to this email from your present registrar promptly. Otherwise, the transfer will not be successful and your domain name may expire as a result.

e. In the event that the administrative contact is not you (for example your web designer registered the domain name on your behalf and listed his email address instead), then, you must ask the administrative contact to acknowledge and reply to the email from your present registrar. Otherwise, the transfer will not be successful.


13. I have an existing ".com.my" domain, can you cover the cost of this domain under your plans?

No. You can renew such domain names through us at just RM$100.00 per year though.


14. I like your ".com.my" price, how do I renew my ".com.my" domain names through you?

The process in which you can renew your domain names requires a change of domain name registrar for your existing domain name. Please ensure that you provide us the following information before we can transfer your domain name to us:

a. Please provide us the user ID and password of your domain name. If you do not have these, please contact your existing domain name registrar for it.

b. That you transfer the domain registrar to us at least 15 days BEFORE the expiry date of your present domain name. If you have less than 15 days to the expiry of your domain name, we will advice that you renew your domain name with your present registrar and transfer the domain name to us the following year.

c . 15. When I purchase your plans, does it mean that you will cover the cost of my domain name automatically?
No. Please refer to Points 12 through 14 above.

16. How do I transfer my existing domain name to you?

A ) To use your domain name on our servers, you need only modify the DNS (Domain Name Servers) information of your domain. To do so, you will need to access the control panel provided by your existing domain name registrar. If you do not have access to the domain name control panel, you will have to request for that from the person who registered the domain name on your behalf. Often, that may be your existing web hosting provider. Once you have gained access to the domain name control panel, you will need to modify the Domain Name Server information to:

NS1.NETDNS.NET
NS2.NETDNS.NET

If you simply modify your domain names' DNS information (while maintaining your present domain name registrar), you will are liable to renew the annual fees with your existing domain registrar.

B) On the other hand, if you wish to change your domain registrar to the domain registrar that we use, you will need to instruct us to initiate a domain registrar change on your behalf. The domain name registrar change process is separate and distinct from point A above. This would mean that, henceforth, you want to renew your domain names through us. To do that, please refer to points 12 and 14 in this FAQ.

C) If you need us to modify the name servers of your domain name on your behalf, you will have to provide us the following:
i) domain name control panel ID
ii) password


17. Can I purchase more domain names from you?
Definitely! Domain names only cost RM59.95 per year (.com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name, .us) when you purchase them from us. .MY domain names (.com.my, .net.my, .org.my) costs only RM100.00 per year. To purchase a domain name, click on the “Order” button, and search for the domain name of your choice to check for its availability. Just follow the simple online instructions to complete your order.


18. How soon would my domain name be approved?
Domain names are usually approved within 24 hours. To find out if a domain name has been approved, simply type the domain name in your web browser (eg. Internet Explorer or Firefox). It it leads to an "Under Construction" page, it means that your domain name is approved. If your domain name cannot be registered for some reasons, or that we need further clarification from you, you will be contacted.

19. Can I have more than one domain name hosted on my account?
Yes. Please refer to the specific plans with regard to the limit of domain names you can host per account.

20. Can I create sub-domains within my account?
Yes, using our control panel, SiteManager, you can set up sub-domain names dynamically.

21. Great! I love your plans, how do I sign up?

22. What is your policy concerning the kind of websites that can be hosted with you?
Clever Internet accepts all personal and commercial websites, except adult and hate sites. All websites must conform to our TOS (Terms of Service). Any violations to our TOS will result in immediate termination of your account and all monies paid to us will not be refunded.
